Y98 Beach Party – Hurricane Harbor/Six Flags
Official Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.  A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING.  VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

1. HOW TO ENTER

a. The Y98 Beach Party contest will begin at approximately 6:00 am CT on Monday, May 12th, 2008 and end at approximately 10:00 am CT on Friday, May 23rd, 2008.

b. To participate in the contest, you may enter via the following method(s): Listen to KYKY - Y98 from Monday, May 12th, 2008 through Wednesday, May 21st, 2008 and listen for the “Y98 Beach Party” cue to call, given by the on-air staff member.  When you hear the cue to call, be caller 12 to get through to the station contest line at (314) 969-9898 or (618) 399-9898 to win (upon confirmation of eligibility).  Twenty-nine (29) qualifying winners will be chosen via this method.  Each qualifying winner will have a chance to win the grand prize on Friday, May 23rd, 2008 at Hurricane Harbor at Six Flags.  Two-hundred twenty-nine (229) beach balls will be distributed on the grounds of Hurricane Harbor.  The twenty-nine (29) qualifying winners will have twenty-nine (29) minutes to collect as many beach balls they can.  After the time is up, Y98 staff members will count the number of beach balls each contestant has collected.  For each beach ball collected, the contestant will receive one entry in the grand prize drawing.  The drawing will follow, and the winner will be selected from all of the entries.  The winner chosen will win the grand prize.

c. The Station is not responsible for telephone service outages, delays, busy signals, equipment malfunctions and any other technological difficulties that may prevent an individual from completing his/her telephone call.

d. There is no limit to the number of times a person may attempt to call in to win, but a person may only win once during this contest.

2. ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS

a. The contest is open to all persons who are 21 years of age or older and who reside in the St. Louis Metropolitan area.  Employees of KYKY, its licensee, its corporate parents, subsidiaries, and affiliates, its advertising agencies, participating sponsors/promotional partners, other radio stations in the St. Louis metropolitan area and the members of their immediate families and/or households are ineligible to participate or win.

b. Listeners are eligible to win a KYKY contest only once every thirty (30) days and a prize valued at $600 or more only once every six (6) months.  Only one winner per household is permitted in any contest.

3. PRIZES

a. Up to twenty-nine (29) qualifying prizes will be awarded.  Qualifying prize includes: a pair of single day admission tickets to Six Flags on Friday, May 23rd, 2008.  Approximate retail value of prize: $90.00.  One Grand Prize will be awarded.  The grand prize includes a trip for two from St. Louis to Cancun.  Includes roundtrip coach airfare for two and hotel accommodations.  Trip is provided by Worry-Free Vacations.  Worry-Free Vacations will provide up to $800 towards airfare from St. Louis to Cancun and up to $800 towards a hotel of the winner’s choice. Approximate retail value is $1600.00.  Grand Prize Winner and travel companion are solely responsible for all applicable taxes, including, but not limited to, hotel, hospitality and airport taxes, telephone charges, meals, gratuities, transfers, spending money and any other expenses not specifically offered herein.  Grand Prize Winner may be required to present a valid credit card upon check in at hotel to cover any incidental expenses.  The guests of the grand prize winner must also be at least 21 years of age or older.  Grand prize winner must comply with all terms and conditions provided on the Worry-Free Vacations E-Certificate.  Booking dates for the trip are from May 23rd, 2008 to January 31st, 2009.  Travel dates for the trip are from May 23rd, 2008 to March 31st, 2009.  E-Certificate is non-transferrable.

b. All prizes or prize certificates may be picked up at the office of the Station at the address below.  Winners of qualifying prizes will forfeit any prize or prize certificate not claimed by Thursday, May 22nd, 2008 at 5:30pm.  In the event that a prize or prize certificate is mailed to the winner, it will be with the prior written consent of the winner and therefore, winner assumes the risk of its loss.  The Station is not responsible for the safe arrival of a prize or prize certificate.

c. There is no substitution, transfer, or cash equivalent for prizes, except that Sponsor may, at its sole discretion, substitute prizes of comparable value or cash.  The prizes are expressly limited to the item(s) listed above and do not include taxes, gratuities or any other expenses.  Other restrictions may apply.

4. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION

a. Decisions of the Station management with respect to the contest are final.

b. See Section 1 for how to enter and win.

c. THE ODDS OF WINNING QUALIFYING PRIZES DEPEND UPON THE NUMBER AND ORDER OF CALLS RECEIVED.  THE ODDS OF WINNING GRAND PRIZE DEPEND ON THE NUMBER OF BEACH BALLS EACH QUALIFYING WINNER COLLECTS.

d. Winners must listen to win but need not be present to win qualifying prize.  Winners must be present to win grand prize.

e. Winners must execute and return any required Affidavit of Eligibility/Release of Liability Prize Acceptance Form by May 23rd, 2008 or prize will be forfeited.

5. CONDITIONS

a. Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winners.  Winners may be required to sign an IRS Form W-9 or the equivalent.

b. By participating in the contest, the winner or winners agree to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest without additional financial or other compensation, and, where legal, to sign a publicity release confirming such consent prior to acceptance of the prize. 

c. Prior to awarding any prize or prize certificate, the Station in its sole discretion may require contest winners (and their travel companions, if any) to sign a liability release, agreeing to hold the Station, its corporate licensee, its parent, subsidiary and affiliated corporations, and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the contest.

d. The Station reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the contest, including the substitution of a prize or equivalent value, which will become effective upon announcement.  If due to circumstances beyond the control of the station, any competition or prize related event is delayed, rescheduled, postponed, cancelled or has a change of venue, the station reserves the right, but not the obligation, to cancel or modify the contest and shall not be required to award a substitute prize. 

e. Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in a contestant’s disqualification solely at the discretion of the Station.

f. The Station is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest, or in the announcement of a prize.

g. Copies of the written contest rules and a list of winners (when complete) are available during regular business hours at the main studio of KYKY, 3100 Market Street, St. Louis, MO 63103.
