Y98 PICK YOUR PURSE CONTEST

1. How to Enter the Contest and Selection of Winners:
a. The Y98 FM Pick Your Purse Game will begin on Monday, May 12th , 2008 at 5:30am CST and end no later than Friday, June 13th, 2008 at no later than 6:00pm CST. The contest may end prior to this end date if all of the matches are made prior to the listed end date. Once all twenty-four (24) prizes have been matched the contest will end immediately.
b. To participate in the contest, listen to Y98 weekdays beginning on Monday, May 12th at 6:00am for the DJ to announce that it is time to play Y98 Pick Your Purse and be caller number twelve (12) to get through to 314-969-9898 or 618-399-9898 for a chance to play the “Y98 Pick Your Purse match” game. The cue to call can be announced at anytime weekdays from 6am to 6pm during the contest period, up to four times per day.
c. The “Y98 Pick Your Purse match” game will be played as follows: There will be forty-nine (49) squares on the game board. To get a game board, log on to y98.com or come by the Y98 studio at 3100 Market Street, St. Louis, MO 63103. Caller number twelve (12) after hearing the DJ announce it is time to play will have a chance to “turn over” two of the forty-nine (49) game squares. If the game squares match, the caller will win the prize that is shown on the back of the matching squares, which will be one of twenty-four (24) different purses. If the squares DO NOT match, caller will not win a prize and the squares will both be turned back over for the next call in opportunity. If a contestant chooses a square that has already been awarded, the play will end and the contestant will win the consolation prize. There are twenty-four (24) possible matches out of a total of forty-nine (49) squares and one wild card. If the caller selects the wild card as the first square and a purse not already won as the second square, the caller will win a $1,000 gift certificate to CBL Mall West County or Chesterfield in addition to the purse selected (note that the other square designated for a winning purse selected will also be turned over.) If the caller chooses the Wild Card as their first choice and selects a square that has already been awarded as their second choice, the play will end and the caller will win the consolation prize, and the Wild Card is turned back over for future play. Once the prize is given away, the purse will be labeled WON in the purse boutique displayed on y98.com. Callers will be required to provide all information requested, including their full name, complete address (including zip code), day and evening phone numbers and date of birth in order to be eligible to win the prize.
d. Between 8a – 9a during each game day, Y98 will display one (1) of the hours of play for each weekday of play (for example: Pick Your Purse will be played today between 1p – 2p) inside the Free Stuff Club as a help to the Free Stuff Club members. There is no cost to join the Y98 Free Stuff Club, and details on joining the club can be found at www.y98.com.
e. Decisions of KYKY management with respect to the contest are final.
f. KYKY is not responsible for telephone service outages, delays, busy signals, equipment malfunctions and any other technological difficulties that may prevent an individual from completing his/her telephone call.
g. Listeners can call as often as they like to attempt to participate and win, but a listener may win only one prize for the duration of the contest. If a contestant plays the purse game, but does not win a handbag, they will win the consolation prize and will no longer be eligible to participate in the game again.
h. Winners will be notified of their prize on-air at the conclusion of their “Y98 Pick Your Purse match” game.
i. Odds of winning depend on the number and timing of phone calls received.
j. Winners must execute and return any required Affidavit of Eligibility and/or Release of Liability Prize Acceptance Form within 30 days of winning. Any prize or prize certificate not claimed within thirty (30) days of winning will be forfeited by the winner and another winner will not be selected.
2. Eligibility Restrictions:
a. The contest is open to all KYKY listeners who are 18 years of age or older and who reside in St. Louis metropolitan area. Employees of KYKY, its licensee, its parent corporation, subsidiaries and affiliates, affiliated advertising agencies, participating sponsors/promotional partners, other radio stations in the St. Louis metropolitan area and the members of their immediate families are ineligible to participate or win.
b. Listeners are eligible to win a KYKY contest only once every sixty days and a prize valued at $600 or more only once every six months. Only one winner per household is permitted in any contest.
3. Prizes:
a. KYKY will award twenty-four (24) total purses and one (1) $1,000 CBL gift card to be used at CBL mall properties West County located at 80 West County Centre, Des Peres, MO 63131 or Chesterfield Mall located at 291 Chesterfield Mall, Chesterfield, MO 63017. The winner will receive this $1,000 CBL Mall gift certificate when they successful select the Wild Card square and match it with a purse that has not already been won. This winner will be awarded the gift certificate and the selected purse. If the winner matches the two corresponding purse squares they will receive the purse that they have successfully matched two matching game squares for. b. Each contestant that plays and does not match two game pieces will win a consolation prize. The consolation prize is a pair of tickets to see Sex and the City: The Movie on May 28th, 2008 at Wehrenberg Ronnie’s Cine located at South Lindbergh and Baptist Church Road in St. Louis, MO. This consolation prize will be awarded for all contestants who play Pick Your Purse and do not win one of the 24 designer handbags between May 12th, 2008 – May 23rd, 2008. All contestants that play Pick Your Purse on or after May 26th will be awarded a pair of Run of Engagement passes to Sex and the City: The Movie. Certain restrictions will apply. Each consolation prize will be valued at approximately $20.00. If a contestant plays the purse game, but does not win a handbag, they will win the consolation prize and will no longer be eligible to participate in the game again.
c. All prizes or prize certificates may be picked up at the office of KYKY, 3100 Market Street, St. Louis, MO 63103. Any prize or prize certificate not claimed within thirty (30) days of winning will be forfeited by the winner. In the event that a prize or prize certificate is mailed to the winner, it will be with the prior written consent of the winner and therefore, winner assumes the risk of its arrival. KYKY is not responsible for the safe arrival of a prize or prize certificate.
d. Contest prizes are not transferable. Prizes may not be substituted for or redeemed for cash or store credit. Purses may be exchanged for a purse of equal value or winner can upgrade prize at their own expense.
4. Conditions:
a. Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winner. Winners may be required to sign an IRS Form W-9 or the equivalent.
b. By participating in the contest, the winners agree to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest without additional financial or other compensation, and to sign a publicity release confirming such consent prior to acceptance of the prize.
c. Prior to awarding any prize or prize certificate, KYKY in its sole discretion may require contest winners to sign a liability release agreeing to hold KYKY, its corporate licensee, its parent, subsidiary and affiliated corporations, and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the contest.
d. KYKY, in is sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process, the operation of the KYKY website or is otherwise in violation of the rules. It further reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the contest if it is not capable of completion as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any sort.
e. KYKY reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the contest, including the substitution of a prize or prizes of equivalent or greater value, which will become effective upon announcement.
f. Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in a contestant's disqualification, at the sole discretion of KYKY.
g. KYKY is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest or in the announcement of a prize.
h. Copies of the written contest rules and a list of all winners (when complete) are available during regular business hours at the main studio of KYKY, 3100 Market Street, St. Louis, MO 63103, on line at Y98.com or by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to KYKY. |
