NBC should make the official announcement today that Jimmy Fallon will replace Conan O'Brien when Conan takes over the "Tonight Show" next year.

You've heard the stories about "American Idol" contestant David Archuleta's dad. He was banned from "Star Search" when David was on the show a few years back, and now he's been banned from AI.

Jeff Archuleta has been interfering with the production of "American Idol," including the badgering of producers, the band, vocal coaches and even the other contestants.

Jeff also allegedly changed the lyrics to David's rendition of "Stand By Me" by adding a verse from Sean Kingston's hit "Beautiful Girls". When David sang the song in rehearsal, producers told him to sing "Stand By Me" the way it was written.

David went ahead and sang his dad's arrangement anyway during the show, which required the producers to pay royalties for BOTH songs. After that, they decided to ban Jeff from "the rooms where David was learning or rehearsing his songs."

Britney Spears will guest-star in CBS' "How I Met Your Mother" again tonight. Her first stint on the show in March helped "How I Met Your Mother" to its highest ratings ever in the all-important adults 18-to-49 demographic. Apparently this episode will leave the door open for her to come back again.
It's been confirmed! Jennie Garth has signed onto the new "Beverly Hills 90210" show on the CW. She'll play the same character, Kelly Taylor, who's a guidance counselor at her old high school.
Lots of season finales on TV tonight

American Gladiators at 7 on NBC
Medium at 8 on NBC
Samantha Who? at 8:30 on ABC
The Hills at 9 on MTV
The Bachelor: London Calling at 9 on ABC

Don't expect Samantha sans clothes in the SATC movie at the end of this month. The only one of the four stars who has an actual nude scene is Cynthia Nixon.
Here are the top ten movies at the weekend box office:

1. "Iron Man" (50-point-five-million-dollars)

5. "Baby Mama" (Five-point-eight-million-dollars)
6. "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" (Three-point-eight-million-dollars)
7. "Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay" (Three-point-two-million-dollars)

Jenna Bush was married on Saturday on the family's ranch in Crawford, Texas.
Nick Hogan was sentenced Friday for the awful car accident he had last August. He'll spend eight months in prison on the charge of felony reckless driving, perform 500 hours of community service and five years' probation (he can't drink during that time). He also will lose his driver's license for three years.
Of course Hugh Hefner doesn't think the Miley Cyrus pics in Vanity Fair are a big deal. He says, "I think to make such a big to-do over something as innocent as those photos....I think [that's] a reflection on how schizophrenic America is about sexuality." He also said he'd welcome her to pose for "Playboy"...when she turns 18. He called her a "Very pretty lady." He's a very creepy old man.
Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson are NOT engaged. The pics of Kate wearing a ring are for the movie she's shooting, called "Bride Wars".
Alanis Morissette is opening up about her new CD, "Flavors of Entanglement". She says, "I took a break over the past two and a half years. I was tending to my personal life. [I hit] rock bottom...[due to] a personal unraveling of significant relationships in my life."

It doesn't take much to figure out she's talking about her ex-fiance Ryan Reynolds. She called off their engagement, and now he's engaged to Scarlett Johansson.

Survivor: Fans vs. Favorites FINALE was last night...Parvati Shallow won over Amanda Kimmel. Amanda's island love, Ozzy, confessed his love for Amanda during the final Tribal Council...and they're apparently still dating.
More romance for Jen and John...Mayiston? Maniston? Anistayer? Johniffer?
